Fruit Smoothie Recipes

So...let me tell you the problem I have with diets. The word itself scares me. (Although, looking all around I can see that I am not the only one scared by this little five letter word. We have way too many overweight people living among us). Think about it, the word diet starts with the word DIE. Plus, since the word also ends with an S, it means there are many ways to DIE. Obviously, this is not the right way to look at diets. I love to eat, but I also love living. Like most people I don't want to give up my favorite foods, so the best thing for me is to take food I like and incorporate them into my diet. I love sweets but I know that I can't lose weight on a snickers diet. So one day I am walking through the produce department in the grocery store, and I see these fruit smoothie packages and it hits me. I can get some healthy smoothie recipes!

I got so many healthy smoothie recipes on the Internet, I bet I could make enough smoothies to last me forever. There is probably a never ending list of the foods one could use in a smoothie. Since I am not even remotely interested in what a salmon smoothie will taste like, I will stick with fruit smoothies. Since everyone knows that fruit is good for you, I am sure that daily healthy fruit smoothies, along with some actual exercise will get me slimmer, but more importantly, a healthier body. Believe me, once you look into healthy smoothie recipes, you will find some that will send your taste buds racing. I want to share one of my favorites with you.

Apricot Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 fresh apricot, diced
6 strawberries
1/2 banana
1 1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. skim milk powder

Process fruit in blender with the rest of ingredients, pour in your favorite glass and enjoy.
